A New Reading in New York City
Recently, Alana played The Health Teacher, in Everything You Need To Know About Abortion In One Hour Or Less.
This play is written by The Wish Collective, a grassroots initiative developing inventive pro-choice theater, protecting the reproductive rights of theater makers, and amplifying the voices of theater makers in total ban states. It is free to download & perform.
Set in an Oklahoma high school in December 2023, it tells the story of an educator who, ready to retire, decides on her last day she is going to educate high school students about medicated abortions, crisis pregnancy centers, and how to be a caring companion to someone having an abortion. Acknowledging she’s in a ban state, with consent from her students, she locks them inside their auditorium, and risks it all by providing links like this one…https://www.plancpills.org/.

Theatre Review: ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ presented by Iron Crow Theatre at Baltimore Theatre Project

HEAD OVER HEELS AT IRON CROW THEATRE
Review
“Lastly, this show features a 4-member female ensemble (Alana Knobel, Aileen Mitchener, Micaela Oliverio and Whitney Reed), who also serve as understudies to the principals, and man can these ladies dance. This ensemble works hard, singing/dancing their way through scene after scene, handling props, tossing curtains to and fro, and providing much needed support to move the show along. ”
